Its been a long time

So its been a long time since I’ve put in any entries.  Man!!!

First, Happy New Year!!!!  Holy Cow, I didn’t put an entry in for 2005 until today.  Man oh man.  I’ve been pretty lame.

So the trip back from Key West was uneventful.  Just long.  We stopped in Jacksonville, and then Manassas, VA to visit with my best friend from college.  I usually spend New Years over at their house, but this year we had to pass.  The long drive coupled with remodeling work at my house add up to one boring New Year’s Eve.  What can I say.

So, since then we’ve been working on the house.  This weekend alone I was moving electric, running new circuits and trying to catch up on Madison FD business.    There doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day.  Tomorrow I’ve got to catch early trains as I’ve got to be in Boston (or should I say Waltham) attending a meeting at the Microsoft Technology Center there.

I’m sad to report the death of my Ultimate TV receiver.  This was a particularly emotional moment because we in our house have become reliant on that box since we don’t regularly watch TV, we like to record a couple programs (like Sesame Street for my daughter) so that we can watch them when we have time.  It was a quality product and it is a shame that Microsoft discontinued it.  The customers who have it are loyal and swear by it, I know I did.  With the death of that unit means the end of my tenure with DirecTV.  We are switching to Cablevision on Friday and with it, we are getting an HD DVR.  I’m pretty excited about that.

Anyway, check out the photos on http://groups.msn.com/victoriasam and ttfn.
